Lunches and Field Trips

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Lunchables. All opinions are 100% mine.

One of my favorite school memories was going on a field trip to an old growth forest here in Oregon.

We boarded the bus bright and early and began the 2 hour drive to the locale that would be our classroom for the day. There is nothing like the smell of a bus and 100 kids carrying their sack lunches.

What was so amazing about this trip? We were given free reign of this forest where amazing things were happening all around us. We wandered through this densely wooded area looking at plant life and the resurrection that the forest goes through when a tree falls and becomes the home of new plants and animals.

It’s been 20 years and I still remember this day and how much fun I had running around looking for and identifying different kinds of mushrooms and finding cool spots to hang out with my friends on fallen trees. This is why I love the new campaign that Lunchables Lunch Combinations has come up with.

  1. We are really lucky to have access to so many places that are close and free where we live now, just north of Washington, DC. That’s one thing that I will miss the most when we move to the midwest – I’ll have to start paying to play. :o)

Have you read Last Child in the Woods? Simply incredible book.
