My blogging journey began as a way to update our family near and far about all the great things we’ve done as a family. It didn’t take long for me to realize that I was missing a place that I could share a deeper part of me. I wanted an outlet where I could write about my parenting woes and triumphs, being married to a military man, basically I wanted to talk about me. So, with that Mad Hatter Mom was born.
But I’ve realized that although my kids are the driving force behind this site I don’t write about them very often. Sure I might pass on a silly conversation that we had but that’s about it.
So, today I am making a vow. Starting today I will be sure to share more of my kids lives with you as well. After all they have a hand in the mom I am and will be forever so it only seems right, right?

I had to make the same vow a few months ago and then I still find myself forgetting the importance they have in being able to be a “mommy blogger”. Finding the right mix is hard for me!
