This is the time of year that I love.
It’s back to school time, the leaves are starting to change and most nights are spent cuddled up on the couch with my hubs after the kidlets go to bed.
But probably the best thing is the start of all my favorite shows!
Of course only a handful have started, so currently I’m left wanting more. Luckily, there is a show I can watch that I absolutely love, even if it is reruns. Tune in to “The New Adventures of Old Christine” 5 days a week! Check out http://www.oldchristineweekdays.com/listings/ to find your local show times.
This is such a hilarious show and I can really relate to Christine as a mother. Essentially, at the root of everything she does, it’s for her son. There was an episode during the third season where Christine, (played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus seen right,) confronts 2 of the meanie moms from her sons prestigious school. They are all at a cotillion and the moms have told their daughters not to dance with Christine’s son Ritchie. She tells them that if they ever make her son feel unwelcome or embarrass him again, she would “be thrilled for the opportunity to kick your sorry, tanned, bleached, botoxed, asses back to your tacky mcmansions and loveless marriages.”
This is just the thing that I wish I can come up with on the fly if I am ever faced with someone treating my son or daughter like this. Sure it’s probably not the most mature way to handle the situation but that’s what you get you mess with Mama Bear! 🙂
Disclosure: I have been hired by Warner Bros WBWord division to raise awareness for ‘The New Adventures of Old Christine.
