My Hubs gets a little irritated with the amount of shoes that I have.
What can I say? I love me some shoes. The kicker though is the majority of my shoes aren’t cute strappy heels or heels with a peek-a-boo toe. My shoes are mainly casual. Tennis shoes, slip ons, etc. For me it’s all about comfort and although I admit, there are some comfortable heels out there, they just don’t fit in to my lifestyle.
Let’s face it, I’m a mom and I work from home. Not a whole lot of need to don my heels and business suit. Then again, maybe I should try that sometime. 🙂
But seriously, most days you will find me wearing jeans, a t-shirt, and some comfy shoes.
When I was given the opportunity to try out some shoes from Kalso Earth Shoes I was ecstatic. All of their shoes fit completely into my lifestyle. And not only do they fit in my lifestyle, they are aesthetically pleasing to me which is just as important as comfort.
I chose the Glide 2 in Red to wear around.
When I wore them for the first time it took me a while to get used to Kalso Earth Shoes “Negative Heel”. This, however, is what makes Kalso Earth Shoes so darn awesome. The negative heel actually promotes a better walking position which in turn improves your posture and joint stress. The position of the heel being below your toes mimics what it’s like when you walk in the sand barefoot.
I didn’t really think that much about it until I wore my Glides to the Oregon Zoo. Typically, I would wear my running shoes because they offer really good support. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a little worried that I would end up with aching feet.
Thankfully, that didn’t happen. My Glides were so darn comfortable that when the day was over I realized that my back wasn’t aching, a normal side effect of lots of walking for me. That. Was. Awesome. If you get an achy back after walking or even running long distances you know what I mean. Now, I don’t think I would wear my Glides during a 5K, but I can totally see the benefits of having the same negative heel technology in my running shoes.
Now, I completely understand if you are looking at my Glides and thinking that perhaps those just aren’t your style. I can tell you that there are a TON of super cute shoes to choose from at Kalso Earth Shoes. As a matter of fact, I have my eyes on the Rally in black.
I’m sure most of you looked at the suggested retail price for the Rally and though “WHOA!” Yes, I agree that it is quite a bit more than even I would pay for shoes, but I truly believe in the fact that you have to pay for quality. That’s just what you will get with Kalso Earth Shoes.
