Holiday Gift Guide 2011- Nomad Brush for iPad is perfect for budding artists

holiday gift guideMy daughter loves to draw.

Really loves to draw.

So much so, in fact, that I had to move my printer in my office to a high shelf so that she couldn’t reach the printer paper. The girl could go through a whole ream of paper in about 3 days I think. It’s also her love for drawing that has required me to stock up on crayons, colored pencils, and even markers during back to school time to last her throughout the whole year.

nomad playThis is why I was so excited when we got the opportunity to try out Nomad Play. It’s a paintbrush stylus for the iPad that is designed and scaled just for kids. It comes in 4 different colors and features unique designs engraved into the handle.

It’s great because there are no crayons, pencils, or markers to worry about. I don’t know how many times she has gotten up and her drawing has travelled off the paper and is partially on the table.

What I love most about it is it turns my iPad into a never-ending pad of paper for my daughter. There are multiple apps, both free and paid, that you can find and download just by searching the app store. Of course, Nomad thought of that already and has a list of apps that they recommend right on the Nomad Play page of their site. Our favorite is a free app called Kids Doodle. We can pick different colors of canvases, change the how the brush paints and in what colors. We can also save her works of art so she can look at them later.

I just have to watch her closely and make sure she doesn’t print all of them out! 🙂

This is the perfect budding artist on your list and thanks to Nomad I have one to giveaway!

  2. That’s totally cool! I don’t have an iPad, and get more jealous all the time of the fun things like this! We have a faux-pad with fun stuff, but the cooler stuff is clearly on the other side of that line. 🙂
