I’m Now a Soup Nazi – #BertolliMealSoup

With a husband in the military there are often times when he is deployed or just has to work late. When it’s just me and the kids I often find it hard to work up the energy to make a full meal for just the 3 of us.

I know it’s terribly but it’s during these instances that we either grab fast food or it’s quick corn dogs or frozen pizza.

bertolliThis weekend when the hubs away I was again faced with what to do for dinner. Luckily, Bertolli has a new line of frozen soups that I wanted to try out.

As often happens I wait until about 20 minutes before dinner time to start thinking about dinner. Usually it’s the kids telling me that they are hungry that tips me off to the fact that I really need to start thinking about it.

The great thing about Bertolli frozen soups are they take less than 30 minutes to prepare, perfect for me!

We chose Tomato Florentine & Tortelli with Chicken

This is what the contents of the bag look like. Note the big chunks? Those are the sauce cubes!

Our soup is almost done! It almost smelled like lasagna, and boy do I like lasagna!

This is a meal for 2 but with 2 little ones we easily split it amongst us. I think if we added bread and salad it could feed all 4 of us.

Nothing says dinner like sitting by the fire!

He likes it!

I will admit that I was worried the kids wouldn’t like it because of the spinach, but I was really surprised when my son ate his whole bowl and asked for more!

I’m looking forward to trying the other flavors soon. I might save all the Tomato Florentine and Tortelli with Chicken for my self though! 🙂

Disclosure: I was compensated for this post by Bertolli and Gigcoin. My thoughts, my opinions, my passion.

  1. We already use their frozen dinners – this might be heaven! 🙂
