Beat the heat with a movie! #MODSummer #Giveaway

Summer is here, which means lots of playtime outside in the sun, when it’s visible here in Oregon anyway.

While all the play time outside is great, I’ve quickly noticed that if I don’t give my kids some downtime during the day, by night time they are just DONE.

What better way to kick back than with a movie?

movies on demandOne of my favorite innovations is Movies On Demand. If you have a cable provider, chances are you have Movies On Demand. The cool thing about it is not only is there a great selection of new releases but you also have access to them before they come out on Blu-Ray or DVD! So, even if you don’t see the movie in the theater you can still see it ahead of those that wait for it to come out on Blu-Ray or DVD.

Plus, you don’t even have to leave the house to pick up the movie, you just have to pick up your remote. 🙂

To kick off the summer movie watching season Mom Spark is hosting a Twitter party sponsored by Movies On Demand. The party starts on July 5th at 8pm EST, be sure to follow @MomSpark and the hashtag #MODSummer. In order to be eligible for prizes, (which include $100 Visa Gift Card, Two (2) Movies On Demand popcorn bowl sets, Two (2) Jeff, Who Lives at Home prize packs and Two (2) Movies On Demand Prize Packs – John Carter hardbound notebooks, Muppets coin purse, Descendants script,) RSVP here:

Be sure to follow Movies on Demand on Facebook to stay in the know about all the new releases.

But wait, that’s not all!

I also have a prize pack to giveaway to one very lucky reader!

jeff who lives at homeThis prize pack is inspired by the new movie Jeff, Who Lives at Home. The movie stars Jason Segel, who I love! The movie has been available OnDemand since June 15th and this prize pack will include everything you need to throw your very own “You Don’t Have To Leave You House-Party!” (Probably a better choice for when the kids are in bed.)

So what’s in the pack you ask?? Well, let’s start with a $25 Visa Gift Card then round it out with a backpack filled with wood glue (will make sense after you watch the movie,) a T-shirt, plus candy and snacks!

So, get ready to laugh and enjoy some fun at home.
