I believe there is a difference between a geek and a nerd.
A geek is someone who is into all things geeky, like the newest tech gadgets, where all things academic float a nerd’s boat. (This is just my opinion.)
I term myself as a geek. I love checking out the newest gadgets and apps.
As a geek, I’ve never felt the need or desire to collect things, like from my favorite T.V. show or movie. My brother-in-law has several Star Wars figurines that he has saved from when he was a child, still new and in the box. But, I have never wanted to do that. I have made some darn cool geeky purchases though. The latest find was this super neat plug for my wall. I also have like 3-4 charging cables on my side of the bed for my iPad, my phone, my Kindle, etc. This is a surge protector and gives me 4 extra outlets PLUS has 2 USB plugs at the top! I love it and not I can have all my stuff charging at once instead of prioritizing it. 🙂
It reminds me of Leonard and Sheldon getting the last gadget from their favorite 1960’s film. They got a time machine, talk about a wickedly cool gadget!
So, what’s the geekiest thing you’ve ever purchased?
If you want something cool to add to your geek collection be sure to check out The Big Bang Theory: The Complete First and Second Season on Blu-Ray Combo Pack here: http://bit.ly/QYz0eW
Here’s a clip I love that showcasing the logic of Sheldon.
Disclosure: I have been hired by Warner Bros WBWord division to raise awareness for ‘The Big Bang Theory.’
