It’s Time #Mamavation

MamavationToday is the day when the Mamavation 13 campaign starts.

Tonight at 5PM PST during Mamavation Launch Twitter party, Leah will announce who the 2 new Mamavation Moms are. To say I’m not a little nervous would be a total lie.

This is the farthest I’ve made it in the process and it’s taking everything I have not to chew my nails to the nub. I mean, I have a 40% chance of being a Mamavation Mom! That’s a pretty good shot.

There is also the apprehension of the workouts and nutritional plan that await me if I am chosen. I did the first workout of the week titled “Burn It” and boy did it ever! My legs are still jello and it’s been almost 2 hours since I did it.

I’m also a little saddened because I think all 5 of us finalists are deserving. We would each bring a unique take to the campaign and would be able to inspire others in different ways. In all actuality, Leah and her panel can’t choose wrong. čÖé

So, now to some meat and potatoes, (gosh that sounds good..)

Regardless on if I become a Mamavation mom tonight I am going to be making some changes. I desperately want to be down to my goal weight of 150lbs before we take a family vacation to Hawaii in November. I know it’s doable, I just have to have the willpower to do it. That’s one of the reasons I want to be a Mamavation Mom, there will be so many amazing ladies pushing and making sure I stick with it.

My first step was quitting soda, again.

I quit last year when I lost the first 30lbs but once I was on the plateau I quickly got back in the habit. My last sip of soda was the day before Fitcation 12 days ago. It’s a start right?

I’ve also been much more active. Granted, it did help that I was given a workout each day.
So here is my starting point..

That gives me 25 some odd pounds to lose in 10 weeks. I’ve got this!

  1. Ack! So brave for putting yourself on the scale for all to see, I don’t think I’ve every seen anyone do that. Good luck with the soda, I did that earlier this year too. It was hard but I know it’s so worth it! Hawaii sounds amazing, and a great motivator to kick off those final pounds, good luck!!

As for the soda, I quit soda when I graduated college and lost the weight right away. It’s amazing what a liquid does, right?
