Giving back – Ronald McDonald House Charities

When I was a young girl, I had the unbelievable fortune to stay at the Ronald McDonald House in Portland, OR. It was an experience that I have never forgotten and one that made such an impact on me, that I have supported RMH every chance I have gotten.

This year I am partnering up with the Mom Blog Society and bloggers from across the nation to make sure that families that are staying at the RMH this holiday season still get to experience a joyous season.

I’ll be writing about my experience at RMH at a later date, but until then here are all the details on how you can help!

Ronald McDonald Houses serve more than 8,000 families each day worldwide, saving them over $257 million a year in hotel costs. Nearly 37 percent of children seen on Ronald McDonald Care Mobiles do not have health insurance. The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile program saves U.S. families more than $5 million in health care costs and on average, serves 154,000 children in vulnerable populations each year.

Celebrating 38 years of helping to improve the health and well being of children and families around the world! Brands & Bloggers are coming together this holiday season by making donations to local Ronald McDonald Houses across the country. Here are some of the areas that we are covering:

Starting November 1, 2012, we asking any and all to make a donation, no matter how big or small, to help us deliver presents to these local Ronald McDonald Houses and bring joy to the hearts and hands of these families in need. Help us spread the cheer and joy this holiday season by making a donation today.

Every brand or blogger that donates will receive a lifetime back-link on all of our sites Donation Wall, that includes a large exposure to daily traffic.

Please consider donating today. Simply click on the banner below to fill out the form.

If you’ve never had the need to stay at RMH or if you’ve never spoken to someone who has, I don’t know if I can accurately explain what a wonderful place it is for kids and their families. Any donation you make WILL make a difference.

  1. The Ronald McDonald House really does great community work for our neighborhood. Thanks for posting this because so many times people think of McDonald’s as “evil” and the company really does do a lot of charity work. Thanks for bringing awareness! Happy holidays!
