Not too late to send Cheer! #Giveaway

cheerios send cheerLast month I shared with you all the campaign that Cheerios was running that allowed you to send a “CHEER” postcard to a military family showing your support for them.

While the special boxes of Cheerios are no longer being made you can still find them on the shelves, and the program is good until November of 2012! What this means is you have the next year to send a “sendCHEER” postcard and General Mills will donate $1 to the USO!

This is an amazing program and being a military wife I can’t tell you how much it means to me to see my husband supported. There is a certain pride I have when we are able to join him for lunch during work and when we go out a random person comes up to thank him for his service.

Holiday Gift Guide 2011- Nomad Brush for iPad is perfect for budding artists

Really loves to draw.

So much so, in fact, that I had to move my printer in my office to a high shelf so that she couldn’t reach the printer paper. The girl could go through a whole ream of paper in about 3 days I think. It’s also her love for drawing that has required me to stock up on crayons, colored pencils, and even markers during back to school time to last her throughout the whole year.

It’s great because there are no crayons, pencils, or markers to worry about. I don’t know how many times she has gotten up and her drawing has travelled off the paper and is partially on the table.

Bring some Estilo to the holidays..

estilo salon vancouverRight before Thanksgiving I was invited to an event at Estilo Salon in Vancouver, WA.

At the time, Estilo had only been open for about 6 weeks and they decided to invite some local influential bloggers to check out their services.

I would be lying if I said I wasn’t excited about going. I mean, who wouldn’t be?!?

estilo salon vancouverEven though I had just recently had my hair cut, I wasn’t super happy with it and I decided that this would be the perfect opportunity to put the fate of my hair completely in someone else’s hands.

The salon is located in the Grand Central Shopping Center and I will admit, the salon looked quite small from the outside. This lends to my surprise when I walked in and it was as if the salon doubled in size. With a beautiful color scheme and modern furniture, Estilo quickly lets you know that you are in good hands and the name wasn’t just a clever play on words. (Estilo in spanish means “style”.)
