#DisneyPlanes – Safe Landing or Crash & Burn?

disney planes movieSo, Disney Planes flew into theaters last Friday with much hype and anticipation, but is it worth the view?

My kids and I were invited to attend an advanced screening of the film on Monday of last week. I admit, when I saw the previews for the movie last year I was excited. I knew it was something that my kids would love.

If you have been living under a rock, perhaps you haven’t heard of the movie so let me give you a brief synopsis:

Disney’s Planes takes place from above the world of Cars. It follows the story of a crop duster named, well, Dusty who has dreams of becoming a high-flying air racer and winning an around the globe race. Since he’s not exactly built for racing—and he’s afraid of heights, he turns to seasoned naval aviator, Skipper, who helps him qualify and then take on the defending champ of the race circuit.

Iron Man 3 – Action Packed!

iron man 3 posterYou all know that I am a HUGE Iron Man fan.

So, imagine my sadness when I had to choose between attending a pre-screening of Iron Man 3 or my son’s first baseball game. (Oy, the sacrifices we make!)

Thankfully, a good friend jumped at the chance agreed to take my place with her 3 year old son, who is a pretty big Iron Man fan himself.

So please welcome Jolina, wife, mother of 4, and baker extraordinaire.

What to do for date night tonight…

So, it’s Friday and time to think about what to do tonight or this weekend for date night.

The Five Year EngagementIf you’re like me and cracked up laughing watching the “Forgetting Sarah Marshall”, and now perhaps you are known to quote lines from the movie to your friends, then you should really see “The Five-Year Engagement” which stars Jason Segel and Emily Blunt. Maybe you haven’t seen “Forgetting Sarah Marshall”, well, you may recognize Jason Segel from “The Muppets” or the TV show “How I Met Your Mother.”

The Five-Year Engagement is the story of Tom and Violet who meet at a New Year’s Eve party and then one year later become engagement. Their engagement experiences some serious trip ups on their way down the aisle.

I can’t wait to watch this movie, especially since I can’t stop laughing every time I see the trailer and she talks about giving him the Cirque Du Soleil of shows.. 😀

Don’t know what I’m talking about? Watch this..

The movie opens tonight, April 27th, nationwide. I’ll be going to see it so you should too!

If you go before I do let me know what you think!
