Let your hair down – Chasing Fireflies #WishCraft

I’m a bit of a nut for Halloween.

No, seriously. Before the kids were big enough to take trick or treating I used to completely turn our front porch into a haunted house of sorts. Fog machine, spooky sounds, and black lights. One year I even had my mom dress up in a freaky costume and sit on my porch next to a life sized scarecrow I made. The kids thought she was fake and didn’t pay her any attention, until she snuck up behind them while they were getting candy.

Needless to say, now that my kids partake in the dressing up I’m always looking for the coolest costumes. Several years I made their costumes but I’m getting lazy and there are such cool costumes out there that you can buy. When purchasing costumes for the kids I really look for ones that will last longer than Halloween itself.

I have been receiving the Chasing Fireflies catalog since my daughter was a year old. I love looking at all their fabulous items and yes, their costumes are seriously to. die. for.

When I got the email that I was lucky enough to get to review Chasing Fireflies Wishcraft collection, thanks to Mom Spark Media, I was super giddy. I couldn’t wait to see the quality of their products first hand.

Do you have a Trendy kid?

My girl is a girly girl.

She loves all things frilly and pretty. Her big brown eyes look up at me and I just can’t help but want to put in clothing that falls along those lines.

trezunique pettiskirt After browsing through the designer kids clothing I absolutely fell in love with the pettiskirts. We’ve all seen the tu-tu’s made out of tulle that other sites sale. The pettiskirts are close to them but so much better quality!

I think I secretly want one too!

I can just see taking the girl to have her photo’s taken in the Baby Pink Rainbow pettiskirt in the photo.

Where you might normally tend to spend more on boutique clothing, this site does a great job in keeping the prices very reasonable for such high quality clothing that will outlast the cheap stuff and can be handed down for generations.

I just can’t help but smile when I look at that pettiskirt!

Revving my engine for Cars 2!

cars 2 On Tuesday my little girl and I had the opportunity to go and watch an advanced screening of the new Disney Pixar movie Cars 2!

First of all, if you haven’t heard that there is a sequel to the ever popular Cars flick then you should really get out more.

Since the first trailer aired, my kids have talked about nothing else. And honestly I can’t blame them. Like my kids I am a huge fan having watched Cars countless time since it came out on DVD 5 years ago. Probably what I was most excited about was that this movie really focuses more on Tow Mater and Lightning McQueen provides the supporting role.

I’m not going to go too into what I thought about the movie because, well, it comes out this Friday and I want you to go watch it then tell me what you think.

That said, I will tell you that if you are also a Deadliest Catch fan, you may see or hear someone you recognize.

Here is a little reminder about the movie what this movie is about.
